In the 2005 film ''Sahara'', the CSS Texas escaped from the battle at Richmond, Virginia and was able to head for the open sea carrying millions in Confederate gold coins. The battle at Richmond was real, but the iron-clad Texas was not there, only in the movie. One of my favorite films.
