Turning Point USA received over 32,000 requests to launch new student chapters in the 48 hours following the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk. The surge represents a massive groundswell of support among young conservatives determined to carry forward Kirk's mission on high school and college campuses nationwide. The organization currently maintains approximately 900 chapters on college campuses and 1,200 chapters in high schools. In total, TPUSA operates about 3,500 chapters across the country.

Three Austrian nuns in their 80s have run away from the retirement home where they were placed and gone back to their former convent. Meteor Crater formed 50,000 years ago when an asteroid plunged through the Earth's atmosphere and crashed into what would become central Arizona. Because of the crater's young age and the dry climate Meteor Crater is the best preserved impact crater on Earth. The asteroid was small in astronomical terms, just 150 feet across. Traveling at around 8 miles per second, in just a few seconds millions of tons of rock were flipped over and the great chasm was excavated.
